‘Coast/La Côte’ is a bilingual font inspired by the coastlines of California and France. The typeface captures a sense of swiftness, agility, and liveliness, reflecting the ease of travel. My design was influenced by mid-century advertisements, Nouvelle Vague films, and transportation modes such as planes and cars.

I developed the font using Glyphs software and designed the type specimen posters and postcards with Illustrator and InDesign as part of my Advanced Typography course. The entire process was a continuous learning experience. In addition to the specimen posters, I created postcards showcasing the font in both French and Californian cities, featuring photographs I took over the years with a film camera.
