ABOUT CHLOE KILLILEA

I’m a versatile designer specializing in graphic, publication, and fashion design. Originally from Massachusetts, I moved to California to attend the University of San Francisco, where I initially studied business and entrepreneurship. In my second year at USF, I enrolled in a graphic design course, which led me to switch my major to pursue my true passion. While focusing on design, I still recognize the value of business and entrepreneurial skills and continue to take business courses to prepare for my future career.

Currently, I serve as the design chair for USF’s student-led Ignatian Literary Magazine. I initially joined the magazine as a passionate literature enthusiast, and through hard work and determination, I secured the design chair position. Leading a six-person design team, I’ve helped produce three stunning issues so far, allowing me to grow as both a leader and a visionary.

I’m always learning and finding inspiration from new design approaches. Whether it’s branding, web, packaging, typography, interior, or fashion design, I’m dedicated to honing my craft across all mediums that excite me. My transition from sewing and analog art to graphic design has given my style a folky, hand-crafted, and tender quality. Growing up in scenic New England has also influenced my work, drawing inspiration from the historic and charming architecture found throughout the region, from Boston to Maine. I find motivation in a range of influences, from folk artists to industry revolutionaries, and I’m especially drawn to designers with a strong, authentic personal style. Through my various projects, I’m continuously working to develop my own distinct style.
